Meditation Class in Tampa is now offerred at ZOE Yoga Lifestyle in Tampa Heights. This class is free/donation based every Saturday 9:30-10:15am. All you have to do is show up ten minutes prior to class. NO your mind does not have to be quiet to meditate! The point of meditation is to learn to sit with whatever is in the moment. No experience is necessary but those with experience are welcome too.
Carol is offering a free non-sectarian meditation session for those interested and those who would like to sit with a group. All are welcome! If Interested, there will be a short discussion using the simple, profound book Peace is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hahn. Time for discussion of the book will be determined if there is an interest.
Meditation will be 30 minutes which includes a brief introduction and instruction for those new to meditation.
The benefits of meditation are numerous and scientifically validated. Meditation improves memory, learning, heart health, chronic pain, addiction, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, inflammation, stress, and insomnia to name a few.
Meditation and Mindfulness are key elements in the practice of Yoga. The practice of meditation doesn’t change what happens but does change our relationship to it.

About your teacher:
Carol Doubler is a Buddhist woman who has studied Buddhist philosophy for over 30 years. She took refuge in October 2003 in the Tibetan Gelugpa sect of His Holiness XIV Dalai Lama from Hlarampa Geshe Jinpa Soman. She is a founding member of the Indiana Buddhist Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Carol retired in 2015 with Honors from Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana. She recently completed Yoga Teacher Training at Seminole Heights Sattva Yoga Seminole Heights and is a certified RYT 200 hr.
