It’s a slow process but quitting won’t speed it up.

I say this to all my clients and students when they embark on their journey on the way out of pain. I know pain well. It had been my teacher for as long as I can remember. I was born with some seriously strong asymmetries and a long spine filled with scoliotic curves.

For my entire life I felt like a 20-pound weight was hung from my neck and no matter how much I tried I couldn’t keep my chest lifted. I suffered from extreme anxiety bouts the last few years and many other issues due to my posture distortion. However I never quite my practice of Iyengar Yoga. No matter what my thoughts told me about quitting I got on my mat and did a practice.

Over the last few months, my body has gone through some amazing changes. I have to thank my upper cervical chiropractic doctor Lambert for Natural Healing of Tampa Bay. It’s his work over the last 3 years that has finally set my body free. My chest is no longer a heavyweight but light and open!

The anxiety vanished and I have never felt such deep level of relaxation in my body as I do now. I tell you all this because I know so many of you may struggle in your bodies as well and are searching for freedom. The way is within. It’s been a 20-year process of changing my movement patterns but I never quit.

My studio was born out of my sufferings and honesty I’m thankful for them. I now help others daily with what I have learned through my own path to freedom. I found the roots of my suffering and eradicated them! This too is yoga! As my guru used to say, “the slow way is a fast way.”

Just keep going.
